Marine Instruments provides technological support to the students of the AntarticLab CSIC Competition

The CSIC in Galicia, with the technological support of Marine Instruments, has launched the AntarcticLab CSIC competition.
The initiative, which has the collaboration of the Department of Culture, Education, Vocational Training and Universities of the Xunta de Galicia in the framework of the Proyecta+ Plan, revolves around the exploration and discovery of the Antarctic continent, within UNESCO’s proclamation of the “Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development 2021-2030”.
The aim of the competition is to encourage teachers and VET students enrolled in Galicia to participate in ocean exploration and polar research, improve their skills and enhance their creativity through the development of innovative instruments and measuring devices or the design of studies and experiments.
The winning projects will be installed and put into operation in the vicinity of the Spanish Antarctic Base Juan Carlos I (BAE).
Some of the vocational training students taking part in the competition visited Marine Instruments to get to know their technological partner, its facilities and products, as well as the day-to-day workings of the company.
